We work directly with business owners, corporate lawyers, CPAs, boards, and transaction advisors. Every engagement is principal led from initial scope through final report delivery, ensuring rigorous, defensible analysis that stands up to audit, regulatory, and counterparty scrutiny.

ASHISH SHARMA, MS, MGM, CBV

Founder & Managing Principal

Ashish Sharma is the Founder and Managing Principal of Ash Vals, providing independent business valuation, financial reporting advisory, and transaction opinion services across Canada and the United States.

Prior to founding Ash Vals, Ashish served as a Valuation Manager at Evans & Evans, Inc., where he directed end to end valuation mandates from initial scoping through detailed modeling and final report delivery. He routinely conducted executive interviews, challenged management assumptions, and prepared defensible valuation conclusions across mid market private companies, early stage technology firms, and industrial operations.

Ashish brings over a decade of specialized expertise in corporate finance and business valuation. His core focus spans private enterprise valuations, fairness opinions, private equity portfolio valuations, and M&A transaction advisory, as well as complex debt pricing. Additionally, he provides financial reporting and audit valuation support, including purchase price allocations under IFRS 3 and ASC 805, goodwill impairment testing, and Option Pricing Models, as well as valuations for tax and corporate reorganizations, including estate freezes and corporate restructuring.

Prior to Evans & Evans, Ashish served in the Valuation, Modeling & Economics (VME) practice at Ernst & Young LLP (EY), advising clients across North America, including New York and Atlanta, on fund valuations, private equity portfolio assets, and transaction advisory engagements ranging from $10M to $500M. He began his career at KPMG, preparing in depth qualitative transaction analyses, SWOT frameworks, and competitive industry assessments.

Ashish is a Chartered Business Valuator (CBV) and a member of the CBV Institute. He holds a Master of Global Management (MGM) from Royal Roads University in Victoria, BC, a Master of Science in Finance (MS Finance), and a Bachelor of Commerce with Honors (B.Com Hons) from Delhi University.
